In Crimea they played “Clean Games”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
For the seventh year now, “Clean Games” have been held in Crimea — team competitions in collecting and sorting waste in a festival format with a host, music and a picnic. As part of an eco-competition, more than a hundred participants cleared the area adjacent to the Temple of the Archangel Michael in Alupka of household waste.
The result of the Clean Games is not only the cleaning of territories, but also the maximum involvement of the population in eco-education, as well as the formation of environmental consciousness among young people and residents of the region. The holiday brought together people of different ages, uniting them around a common goal — caring for a clean environment.
Over the ten years of the project’s existence, almost 200,000 people took part in eco-quests under the “Clean Games” brand, collecting more than 4,400 tons of garbage. Over 2,800 games were held in 697 cities in 38 countries on three continents.
