He noted that in the first nine months of 2024, the tourist flow to the Republic of Crimea exceeded 5.2 million people, which is 20% higher than the level of the same period in 2023. By the end of 2024, authorities expect about 6.5 million tourists.
Earlier in an interview with TASS, the head of the republic Sergei Aksenov statedthat the resorts of Crimea have received more than 60 million tourists over 10 years as part of Russia, hundreds of accommodation facilities have been built and modernized. In 2023, Crimea was visited by 5.2 million tourists, which is 20% lower than the level of 2022. The reason was some logistical restrictions, in particular, closed air traffic with the Crimean Peninsula.
