In Crimea, work continues on the re-registration of previously arisen rights to real estate
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Yulia Zhiganova, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for State Registration and Cadastre of the Republic of Crimea, announced that active work continues in Crimea on registering rights to real estate that arose before the Republic of Crimea was admitted to the Russian Federation.
One of the reasons for the visit of Crimeans to the My Documents multifunctional centers and registration of property rights that had arisen earlier was Federal Law No. 518-FZ, which entered into force in June 2021. It establishes a special procedure for identifying copyright holders previously recorded real estatewho for some reason have not yet re-registered their rights. Lists of such citizens and organizations were drawn up by the State Register and handed over to the municipalities for work. After ongoing explanatory conversations with the owners of land plots, houses and apartments, right holders increasingly decide not to postpone visiting the MFC for a long time. As a result of the implementation of the law, within two years, the State Committee for Register has already issued over 58.5 thousand rights for individuals and legal entities, municipalities and the Republic of Crimea that arose during the Soviet or Ukrainian period.
If a citizen or enterprise is identified as the owner of previously registered real estate, then information about them is entered in the Unified State Register of Real Estate (EGRN). That is, tax notices regarding their real estate will come regardless of whether the documents were re-registered according to Russian laws or not. At the same time, the owner will not be able to dispose of his property — to sell, donate or lease, because the mandatory registration of the right has not been completed. Let me remind you that the state registration of a right in the USRN is the only evidence of the existence of a registered right. No state duty is charged for registration of previously arisen rights, and this is another reason why copyright holders still find the time and opportunity to apply for registration of real estate in accordance with the requirements of Russian legislation.— the press service quotes Yulia Zhiganova.
