In Crimean camps, more than 10 thousand children celebrated the Day of Russia

Krympress reports:

On June 12, the country celebrated one of the most significant national holidays — the Day of Russia. This is a special date with which the history of the modern state began. On this day, festivities are held in all regions of the country, and children’s recreational camps of Crimea are not exception.

On the first shift, more than 310 counselors of student detachments of the Republic of Crimea work in 13 camps of the region. Now in the children’s camps of Crimea, more than ten thousand children are resting and healing. In total, during the summer it is planned to ensure rest and recovery of about 70 thousand children in the country’s suburban camps.

Traditionally, Russia’s Day in the camps begins with the line and raising of the State Flag of the Russian Federation. Today, children who showed themselves on a shift personally raise the flags of Russia on the ruler. For young children, competitions of drawings on asphalt are held, for children of middle and older ages — general camps dedicated to the history of Russia, historical personalities, geography and sights of our country. As part of the evening events, creative festivals dedicated to the cultures and traditions of the peoples of Russia will be held.

Preparation and conduct of a child vacation program is a great work of a team of teachers, methodologists, counselors, cultures, and leaders of circles. Every day is filled with events and opportunities for children to show and reveal their talents. On Russia’s Day, every child in children’s camps can through creativity show his patriotic moods and pride in his country.

For the second year in a row, labor detachments of adolescents have been contributing to the organization of children’s recovery in the Crimea — guys from 14 to 17 years old, who work as animators and assistants to counselors. Thus, adolescents help teachers and counselors in children’s camps in the patriotic education of the younger generation.

Every year, Russian student detachments pay great attention to the celebration of Russia Day, and a special emphasis is on conducting various events for children in camps. This time is not only for celebrations, but also in order to educate the younger generation love for their homeland. Camp workers, creating vivid and interesting events on this day, play a key role in the formation of patriotic feelings in children. Through creative, educational and sports activity, we can convey to children the meaning of this holiday, help them realize their connection with the history and culture of the country. Our task is to educate a generation that can value and respect their country, and counselors in this process become real guides of patriotism, — noted Ekaterina Denesyuk, head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student detachments.

On this important holiday for our country, the camp is filled with the joyful feelings of children. Festive music sounds all day, the guys are looking forward to an evening concert. It is gratifying to see sincere smiles on the faces of children and counselors. To be part of this festival means to contribute to the education of patriotism and love for the homeland, which is especially important in our time, — Lelia Bogdan, a counselor “Star” from the student pedagogical detachment “Matryoshka” of the Crimean Regional Department of the North Ossetia, shares his impressions.
