In Evpatoria, a fiery picture was lit — a portrait of a sailor-paratrooper for the Day of Memory and Sorrow

Evpatoria joined the international patriotic action «Fiery pictures of war». On the eve of the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow at the Krasnaya Gorka memorial complex, a portrait of a paratrooper sailor, a participant in the Evpatoria landing operation on January 5, 1942, was laid out from burning candles.
At the monument “Grieving Mother” with the Eternal Flame, the Victory Volunteers laid out the outlines of a sailor rushing into battle from 400 burning candles from the famous sculptural composition installed at the entrance to the city, and also created the inscription “1941-1945. Evpatoria remembers «— told the administration of Evpatoria.
The participants of the action honored with a minute of silence those who died during the Great Patriotic War and installed icon lamps at the foot of the monument.
