In Evpatoria they are preparing to determine the winners of the city award named after. S. E. Duvana

6 applications were submitted for the award. So:

• in the “Resort and Economy” nomination, a petition was received to nominate Boris Mezheritsky, who has worked for more than 40 years in government agencies and local governments.
• In the nomination “Public Figure”, the candidacy of the chairman of the Evpatoria city public organization “Trade Union of Workers and Entrepreneurs of Trade, Public Catering and Services of the Republic of Crimea” Maria Morozova, who has been involved in trade union activities since 1982, was proposed.
• in the nomination “Physical Culture and Sports”, the candidacy of a sports public figure, Master of Sports of the USSR in artistic gymnastics, mentor of the Valset acrobatic dance school, Vladimir Kirichenko, who throughout his life actively promotes a healthy lifestyle, demonstrating by his example an example of active longevity, was nominated.
• It is also proposed to posthumously nominate for the prize the sculptor, participant in the Great Patriotic War, labor veteran, Honorary Citizen of Yevpatoria, author of monuments and compositions Vitaly Zaikov in the “Fine Arts” category.
• in the category “Culture and Art” the winner of international, all-Russian and republican competitions is presented, the exemplary vocal group “City of Childhood”, led by Honored Artist of the Republic of Crimea Anna Us.
• in the category “Local history, culture, history” the award applicant will be the work team of the Evpatoria Museum of Local Lore.

As the head of the city, Galina Gerasimova, who was present at the committee meeting, noted, the applicants for the award are worthy people and teams of the city, their life and work path is an example of professionalism and love for the Motherland.

After extensive public discussion, the Duvanov Committee will analyze the proposals received and determine the winners by voting.

Duvan is an annual prestigious city award, which is awarded for outstanding services, significant and practical contributions to the development and prosperity of the city, its popularization, as well as for special achievements in the field of science, culture, art, sports and other fields, including charity, patronage and sponsorship.
