The award has found a hero. Evgeny Okshin from Tatarstan was awarded in Feodosia.
Surgeon, father of four children, Evgeny Ivanovich Okshin, was vacationing with his family in Feodosia. One day, by a lucky chance, he was not far from the place where the child was drowning. Before the arrival of the ambulance, he restored the vital functions of a nine-year-old boy and was able to literally bring him back to life. After 15-20 minutes from the moment of the tragedy, the rescued person developed a pulse and respiration, and after intensive care and several days in intensive care, he began to recover. Skillful and resolute actions and high professional skills of the doctor contributed to the prevention of the accident.
Alena Plakida, Chairman of the Commission on Family Affairs, Youth, Sports and Volunteering of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Crimea, presented the Gratitude of the Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Crimea to the hero for «high civic position, dedication and professionalism» shown in rescuing a drowning man.
