In Feodosia, a school damaged due to the December strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine was temporarily closed

The school, which was damaged as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the port in Feodosia in December 2023, is closed; in total, as a result of the emergency, windows were broken in about 200 residential buildings and administrative buildings. This is reported by TASSwith reference to the local administration.

As a result of the emergency that occurred in Feodosia on December 26, secondary school No. 4 was damaged, the students of which have now been transferred to study in other educational institutions. School is closed. Work has been carried out to draw up an estimate of the necessary restoration work that will be carried out after the funding is allocated— reported the administration of Feodosia.

It is also clarified that the double-glazed windows of children’s music school No. 1, where the concert hall and part of the classrooms were closed, were broken.

Funds for repairing roofs and windows were allocated from the reserve fund of the Republic of Crimea. Teams of municipal enterprise employees and volunteers worked on holidays and weekendsthe administration added.

In addition, as a result of the attack, the glass of more than 1,200 windows in approximately 200 residential buildings and office buildings was broken, and about 50 roofs were damaged. It is noted that from the first day, work was organized to collect applications for affected individual residential buildings and apartments in multi-apartment buildings.

Roof repairs were carried out first. 45 roofs have already been repaired, 5 are in progress. The work to replace broken glass in the windows of apartments and houses is at the final stage. Replacement of broken glass in the entrances of apartment buildings will also be carried out.— said the administration of Feodosia.

As previously reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, on the night of December 26 last year, while repelling an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the large landing ship Novocherkassk was damaged. During the anti-aircraft battle, air defense systems destroyed two enemy Su-24 tactical aircraft in the area of ​​​​the village of Zhovten (125 km northeast of Nikolaev). According to the Crimean Ministry of Health, one person died and four more were injured.
