In Feodosia they want to build Russia's first children's hospice by the sea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The charitable organization «Crimean Children’s Hospice» will build Russia’s first children’s hospice by the sea with 20 beds in Feodosia by 2027, they reported TASS In the organisation.
As the philanthropists reported, the site for the construction of the hospice was provided by the Ministry of Property of the Republic of Crimea. Of the five proposed options, it was decided to settle on the building of a former children’s camp in Feodosia on the seashore next to the beach:
Here is the most suitable place for organizing an accessible environment, optimal distance from Simferopol — the main city of Crimea. In addition, Feodosia is the southernmost city of Eastern Crimea, it has a unique climate and a clean sea coast. Many of our children, even living in Crimea, have never seen the sea. And, of course, we plan that palliative children from other regions of the country will come to us, and the hospice on the seashore will be able to give them and their parents a lot of positive emotions.
In 2023, the organization received free use of a building at 31 Kerch Highway and a land plot of 1.6 hectares — now it will undergo reconstruction and create a new healthcare institution.
Exploration work is currently underway in the area. Our partner here is the group of companies LLC NPP “KrymSpetsGeologiya”. The company carries out a full range of engineering and geological surveys at all stages of construction and inspection of structures. The general designer was the architectural studio «Bureau 82». The approximate time frame for project implementation is 2025-2027.— reported in the Crimean Children’s Hospice.
According to the organization, a total of 160 seriously ill children who need palliative care live in the Republic of Crimea. Members of the organization help provide not only medical care, but also psychological and social support. It is planned that the hospice in Feodosia will become a resource, information and methodological center for the development of palliative care in the Republic of Crimea.
