In Inkerman, recruitment continues for budget groups of a recreation center with a swimming pool

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Recruitment for budget swimming groups continues at the sports and recreation complex with a swimming pool in Inkerman. The long-awaited sports complex was built according to the program for the socio-economic development of Crimea and Sevastopol.

90 budget places have been allocated for classes in the Inkerman swimming pool. It is planned to open 6 swimming groups, consisting of 15 people aged 7 to 12 years. Applications are accepted until March 18.

At the moment, the first stage of control and selection standards is being held on the territory of the pool, where children can prove themselves in speed, strength and flexibility. Next week the second stage will be organized, where children will be able to swim in the pool and show their skills in staying on the water. To date, more than 130 applications for enrollment have already been submitted– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the Sevastopol sports department Sergei Reznichenko.

For each standard, the candidate is awarded points. If the number of points is equal, an important selection indicator is the ability to stay on the water, namely swimming. After the selection procedure, students are enrolled in budget places and the educational and training process begins, including dry and water training. After March 25, a rating of those participating will be posted, which will make it possible to determine the children enrolled in the Olympic Reserve Sports School No. 1.

Classes will be held continuously in small pools of the sports and recreation complex named after the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol at the addresses: Streletsky Spusk, 1 and Inkerman, Simferopol Highway, 22.

At each location, four groups will be formed, in each of which up to 10 children will be taught the basic life-sustaining skill of swimming. Classes are scheduled three times a week, the start of training is scheduled for March 18, 2024.

In addition, on the basis of swimming pools, the “Swimming for All” project will be implemented for groups of people of socially vulnerable categories, people with disabilities and disabilities aged 18 years and older, as well as for military veterans who were injured during participation in special military operation.

Recreational swimming classes under the guidance of a swimming instructor will be held annually from January to June and from October to December twice a week according to the schedule: Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 12:00. The Swimming for All project starts on March 9, 2024.
