The Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea is in constant contact with the hoteliers of the Crimea and is working with them to provide the most loyal assistance to autotourists who arrived late, to ensure check-ins without additional payments and cancellations of bookings. Of course, we are talking about official accommodation facilities in the Crimea.
The average booking rate for July 2023 is over 52% and growing. A distinctive feature of the season is a short booking lead time of 1-2 weeks before arrival, as well as an increase in the amount of accommodation payment after arrival at the hotel «from the desk»— said the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Vadim Volchenko.
He recalled that since last year, the official Crimean accommodation facilities have introduced loyalty programs for car tourists — these are free nights, free accommodation in friendly hotels along the route, free accommodation for children, free parking, early check-in and late check-out.
Why, then, are informal accommodation facilities, “gray” boarding houses, the private sector and other “bed by the sea” offers so popular? There are several reasons: the “Soviet” habit, mentality, if you like, the behavior of “vacationers”, which is impossible in a hotel, a status sanatorium, and … what is there … cost. A thousand and a half a day is very suitable for “savage” tourists. In hotels, with all due respect, everything is a bit more expensive…
