Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Crimea Mikhail Nazarov visited the village on a working visit. Gurzuf, where he inspected the progress of repair work in the A.S. Pushkin Museum.
As part of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, a set of measures is envisaged for restoration, repair, equipment and the creation of a new exhibition of the Museum. In 2022-2024, 281.25 million rubles were allocated for these purposes.,” commented the deputy chairman of the Republican Council of Ministers.
As part of the project, the strengthening of load-bearing structures and retaining walls, the covering of the first and second floors of the building, torquetting and reinforcement of the walls were carried out here. Work continues on the restoration of the attic floor and belvedere, restoration of exhibition halls, replacement of power supply, heating, water supply and sanitation networks, installation of fire alarm systems, fire extinguishing, warning, video surveillance, security alarm systems, landscaping and restoration of the fountain in front of the central entrance to the building.
A new entrance group to the museum territory was also created directly from the embankment with the installation of a cash house.
Simultaneously with the restoration work, activities are underway to re-expose the museum’s exhibition space. In particular, an artistic concept for the exhibition has been created, a historically accurate costume for the Duke of Richelieu has been made, and a project is being implemented to decorate the main exhibition and acquire authentic items of the 18th-19th centuries. for the museum’s stock collection.
The opening of the updated museum to visitors is planned on June 6, 2024, on the poet’s birthday, as part of the XVII International Festival “The Great Russian Word”.
