In Kazakhstan, the rise in prices for gasoline, borscht vegetables and citrus fruits has slowed down
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the Republic of Crimea, for the first time in six months, the dynamics of annual inflation changed: in October 2023, it slowed to 7.5% after 7.9% in September. This decrease was influenced by the expansion of the supply of certain goods. Also, changes in prices for fruits and citrus fruits reflected the statistical effect of the comparative base.
The growth in prices for cabbage, beets and carrots slowed down, and potatoes even fell somewhat in price in annual terms. This is explained by a good harvest, thanks to which more “borscht set” vegetables appeared on Crimean markets.
Also, the statistical effect of last year’s comparative base led to a slowdown in price growth for bananas and oranges. In October last year, they rose noticeably in price due to the increasing complexity of supply chains. This year, prices for these products in October compared to September practically did not change.
Gasoline and diesel price growth has slowed in the region. This became possible thanks to an agreement at the regional level with the largest gas stations in the republic to reduce retail prices. In addition, due to temporary restrictions on fuel exports, its supply on the domestic market has expanded.
In the same time The annual rate of increase in prices for travel on intercity buses increased — carriers began to spend more on imported spare parts. And due to high demand, apartment rental prices have accelerated.
According to the forecast of the Bank of Russia, annual inflation in the country in 2023 will be in the range of 7–7.5%. Taking into account the current monetary policy, annual inflation will drop to 4–4.5% in 2024 and will be close to 4% in the future.
