In Kerch, a conflict over an inheritance was resolved simply: a 32-year-old man stupidly robbed his stepfather

Officers of the criminal investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Kerch detained a 32-year-old nonresident resident suspected of robbing his stepfather.
Earlier, the police received a statement from a local resident, born in 1969, who said that his stepson had stolen gold items and 70 thousand rubles from him. The damage amounted to 184 thousand rubles. The police who arrived at the crime scene quickly located the suspect and detained him. It turned out that a previously convicted 32-year-old resident of Moscow came to Kerch for his mother’s funeral.
The suspect told investigators that due to a conflict over an inheritance with his stepfather, he decided to independently take money and gold jewelry from his relative, which, in his opinion, belonged to him after the death of his mother— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
During the search, the stolen property was seized and partially returned to the victim. The attacker spent part of the money on his own needs.
The investigation unit of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kerch opened a criminal case against the suspect on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Robbery”). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 4 years. The man was chosen as a preventive measure — detention.
