In Kerch in early May, an ice rink will be opened

As Sergey Aksyonov recalled, the project is being implemented at the initiative of the head of the sports school of the winter sports “Heritage” by Honored Master of Sports of Russia Ilya Averbukh.

Many thanks to Ilya Izyaslavich and his team. Thanks to our joint work and in accordance with the previously signed memorandum, an ice rink will appear in the hero city, on which about 700 children can be engaged in a budget basis. In general, taking into account rollers in cozy and Simferopol, about 1.5 thousand Crimean children will be able to train for free. For these purposes, funds in the amount of 210 million rubles are provided from the republican budget,-quotes the press service of the head of Crimea.

In addition, Sergey Aksyonov noted the need to expand the space of the ice rink in Simferopol, as well as build new similar objects in other cities of the republic.

A little later, we will definitely return to the issue of building rinks in Feodosia and Yalta. Another must be organized in the north of Crimea — in Armyansk or Krasnoperekopsk. In general, our strategic task is to organize ice rinks in all large cities and district centers. Moreover, people have demand, and a strong coaching team notes the great potential of Crimean children— said the head of the republic.

Also, Sergei Aksyonov added that if necessary, the number of budget places will increase in order to first cover more children from low -income families.

Separately, Sergey Aksyonov congratulated the outstanding hockey player Alexander Ovechkin on a historical record for the number of goals, scored in the matches of regular championships of the National Hockey League.

Crimean athletes have someone to take an example from, who to go to. Now we will try to raise our own, Crimean, Alexander Ovechkin— said the head of the republic.

In turn, Ilya Averbukh thanked the government of the Republic of Crimea and personally Sergey Aksyonov for assisting and support in the construction of sports facilities for winter sports.

The financial support of the republic helps children not just go on the ice, but to engage in the most professional coaches both in hockey and figure skating. In Kerch — for the first time in Crimea — we also open the Kerling department. This is a democratic sport in which there are no rigid age frames, as in hockey or figure skating, the training of which begins at the age of 6. Let me remind you that at the rink in the city of the hero there will also be a spectator rostrum for 800 people, which means that it will be possible to hold tournaments— informed the head of the Heritage school.

Ilya Averbukh praised the successes of young Crimean skaters and hockey players who achieve success and occupy prizes, traveling in competitions even traditionally hockey cities.

The event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko, Minister of Sports of the Republic of Crimea Olga Torubarova.
