The day before, the Epiphany font was installed on the embankment of Kerch. According to the plan, everyone could take a plunge into the sea (under the close supervision of rescuers and doctors)…

However, the storm ruined these plans. Due to weather conditions, a decision was made to cancel the ablution ceremony on the city embankment. About it reported Head of the Kerch Administration Svyatoslav Brusakov:

Dear Kerchan residents! Due to weather conditions, a decision was made to cancel the ablution ceremony on the city embankment. Be careful and do not neglect safety measures!

Regardless of the vagaries of the weather, Epiphany services and ceremonies for the blessing of water were held in all Orthodox churches in the city.
