In KFU, a multi -mode drying installation for products was developed
Krympress reports:
Engineer of the Fablab laboratory of the Crimean Federal University. V.I. Vernadsky Anton Fomenko developed a spacious, economical and inexpensive drying installation for different types of food.
The main goal of this development was the organization of the drying process in the volume of the need to preserve products for one family for a year. The main problem was a decrease in energy consumption. For this, a thermally insulated housing of a household refrigerator was used, in which internal air circulation and forced ventilation were organized,-quoted the press service of the university of Anton Fomenko.
The engineer notes that in most domestic dehydrates there is no forced internal air circulation, which increases power losses for heating the supplied air. The development of an engineer of the KFU has a temperature control at the input of the air into the chamber and inside it, the sensor of humidity control, as well as the temperature control system and the humidity of the ventilated agent in the drying process.

The total volume of the drying installation camera is about 80 liters. with a laying area of 1 sq. m., which allows you to lay up to 10 kg of products at a time. The maximum power of the drying installation is 650 watts. The device is equipped with an overheating sensor, an emergency shutdown relay, has a sparing mode of operation of the heater, and can operate in the temperature range from 25 to 60 degrees without limiting temporary intervals. For each product, you can choose an individual mode.
The cost of components for the camera and their assembly is about 30% of the cost of similar household devices on the market.
On the basis of his development, an engineer conducts research on the optimization of technology by selecting drying modes and changes in preliminary preparation of products.
