Almost 10 thousand applicants submitted applications to the Crimean Federal University. V.I. Vernadsky following the results of the introductory campaign. This is a third higher than last year. This was announced by the assistant rector for the reception campaign of KFU Alexei Gusev.
If last year we accepted applications from about 7.5 thousand applicants, then this year almost 10 thousand people submitted documents for admission to the university. To be precise, 9900. The number of competitive groups increased by 30% and amounted to 60 thousand. It is still difficult to talk about the specific numbers of the average USE score, however, given the general trend, we expect its growth— noted Alexei Gusev.
According to him, this year the number of veterans of his own and their children enrolled in a separate quota — also increased by 30% and amounted to 168 people. The number of applicants who took advantage of the right to receive without entrance tests has also grown.
In addition, within the framework of the target quota at the Crimean Federal University. V.I. Vernadsky was credited with 239 people. Despite the large number of initial statements (more than a thousand competitive groups), in the process of receiving, many applicants recalled documents, seeing the opportunity to enter the university on a common basis.

According to him, the greatest interest among applicants is traditionally caused by medical specialties, as well as «jurisprudence». Along with this, there is a high competition for engineering specialties, such as “software engineering”, “computer science and computer technology”, “computer security”, “applied mathematics and computer science”.
One and positive trends in the reception campaign of 2025 was an increase in interest in agricultural areas. If earlier they had to open an additional set on them, then this year the enrollment was held within the framework of the main competition. Pedagogical specialties also demonstrated a stably high competition. Compared to last year, it grew by 5-10 %, — added Alexei Gusev.
As noted in the admission commission, about 65% of the applications were submitted through the Public Service portal. At the same time, some of the applicants chose to duplicate the application by personally visiting the admission commission.
