The event was organized by the Coordinating Center of the University, with the participation of the Center for the Search for Missing People of the Republic of Crimea and the volunteer search and rescue team «Liza Alert Crimea».
The exercise was attended by the head of the department for organizing the activities of district commissioners of the police and juvenile affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Crimea, police colonel Victoria Goptareva, representatives of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Crimea Oleg Chirovov and Elmar Mennanov, a regional representative of the search and rescue detachment «LizaAlert», director of the ANO «Center for the Search for Missing People of the Republic of Crimea» Ivan Zuyanov. The event brought together students from various structural divisions of the University, as well as non-indifferent residents of the Crimea to provide volunteer assistance in the search for missing people , the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea reported.
Viktoria Goptareva, Head of the OODUUPiPDN of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech, she emphasized that the practice of holding such events contributes to the involvement of young people in volunteering to search for missing people and is an important help in the work of law enforcement agencies.
The main goal of the event was the implementation of the Strategy of the Youth Policy of the Russian Federation in terms of supporting Russian volunteerism in search and rescue of missing people, gaining knowledge and additional skills in search and rescue operations, as well as training volunteers in the methodology of searching for missing people.
The participation of the youth of Crimea in volunteering to search for missing people is a way of self-expression and self-realization of their civic position, and it does not matter how they act, individually or collectively, in either case for the benefit of other people or society in in general, – notes Oleg Chirovov.
