In Kirovsky district, a night fire was extinguished for more than an hour
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Upon arrival, it turned out that a private residential building was on fire. The residents got their bearings in time and evacuated on their own. Firefighters quickly laid hose lines and extinguished the fire within 1 hour and 45 minutes. The fire was extinguished on an area of 50 sq. m. There were no casualties, the cause is being determined— the press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Crimea reported.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea reminds of the need to strictly adhere to basic fire safety rules:
- Do not allow storage of flammable and combustible liquids in the house.
- Do not operate electrical appliances and equipment with wires and cables with damaged insulation or insulation that has lost its protective properties.
- Do not connect several high-power electrical appliances to the power grid at the same time, as this will overload it and may cause a fire.
- Do not wrap electric lamps and light fittings in paper, fabric or other flammable materials.
- Do not leave irons, stoves, kettles and other electric heating devices unattended in the house; do not install them near combustible structures.
- Do not allow smoking in bed.
- Hide matches and lighters from children and do not leave children unattended.
- Do not smoke in public areas and do not throw cigarette butts from the balcony or transition loggia. This leads to false activation of the fire extinguishing and smoke removal system.
If you witness a fire or emergency, immediately call the emergency services at 112.
