CrimeaPRESS reports:
On the basis of secondary school No. 58 with in-depth study of socio-economic disciplines named after Hero of the Soviet Union V.I. Kolyadin, the competitive test “Lesson” was held as part of the regional stage of the All-Russian competition “Teacher of the Year in Russia — 2024”.
I am very glad that our school has been a platform for the regional stage of the competition for many years in a row. The staff of our school creates comfortable conditions for the competition to be held at the proper level. It’s nice that it is in our school that they find the best of the best teachers who will continue to defend our Hero City Sevastopol at the All-Russian level— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the director of school No. 58, Raisa Korolev.
This year, eight teachers from secondary schools in Sevastopol applied to participate in the competition:
- Evgenia Kvyshko – primary school teacher at school No. 6;
- Maria Vlasyuk – primary school teacher at school No. 43;
- Galina Kurdyumova-Levitskaya – primary school teacher at school No. 12;
- Elena Dmitrieva – English teacher at school No. 37;
- Irina Bulgakova – primary school teacher at school No. 58;
- Olga Golovina – teacher of Russian language and literature at school No. 30;
- Tatyana Lekhnovskaya – history and social studies teacher at school No. 8;
- Elizaveta Chalaya is a teacher of Russian language and literature at school No. 45.
The regional competition consists of a correspondence test, this is “Video Essay,” and three in-person tests – “Lesson”, “Conversation with Schoolchildren” and “Master Class”. The correspondence stage of the competition took place from February 20 to March 15.
In-person competitive tests are held from April 8 to April 16 at secondary schools No. 58 and 23, and the results of the competition will be summed up on April 16.
During the competitive test “Lesson”, within 35 minutes, teachers had to demonstrate professional competencies in the field of designing, organizing and conducting a lesson.
I have been working at school for four years and love my profession very much. I believe that without love for children and for their work, a teacher will not be able to work, will not be able to establish contact with children. For me, participating in this competition is a great experience and an opportunity to try my hand, as well as demonstrate the skills that I already possess. I have already successfully completed the correspondence test, today I conducted an interesting lesson for the guys in an unusual format“, notes Tatyana Lekhnovskaya, history and social studies teacher at school No. 8.
The regional stage of the All-Russian competition “Russian Teacher of the Year” in Sevastopol has been held since 2014. Over the course of 10 years, 104 teaching staff from educational institutions in the city, implementing general education programs, with at least three years of teaching experience, took part in it.
The winner of the regional stage will represent Sevastopol at the final federal stage of the competition, which takes place annually in various cities of Russia.
