In Russia, almost 40 thousand camps and boarding houses will be able to accommodate children for summer recreation and recreation

39.7 thousand organizations will be involved in the summer children’s health campaign, including federal children’s centers “Artek”, “Orlyonok”, “Smena”, “Ocean”, “Scarlet Sails”. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Dmitry Chernyshenko.

In the new Decree, the President set goals related to strengthening the health of the younger generation and developing their talents and abilities. This is exactly what the activities of 39.7 thousand organizations will be aimed at, which will be able to accommodate more than 5.3 million of our children for recreation and health. Among them are more than 115 thousand children of participants in the special military operation. Rest and recovery for children from new Russian regions will also be organized.,” noted Dmitry Chernyshenko.

Children from the Donetsk People’s Republic, Lugansk People’s Republic, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions will visit camps in other regions of the Russian Federation, as well as sanatoriums on the Black Sea coast. A series of educational and tourism programs “University Shifts” will be held at federal universities.

Children from the reunited Russian regions are also provided with vouchers to the children’s federal centers «Orlyonok», «Smena», «Scarlet Sails» and «Artek», including its newly opened branch «Red Carnation» in the city of Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region.

The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of developing infrastructure for the recreation and health of children.

The federal program for the modernization of children’s recreation facilities and their health improvement has been implemented for the second year on behalf of the President and with the support of the Government and the Federation Council. During this time, renovation of the infrastructure of children’s camps in 54 regions began. This year alone, more than 3 billion rubles were allocated from the federal and regional budgets for the program. These funds are used for the construction and repair of buildings, canteens, medical centers and other facilities,” Chernyshenko noted.

In addition to creating infrastructure and developing programs, personnel training was carried out before the start of the campaign. In particular, 168 educational organizations received training in the “Fundamentals of Leader Activities” module. The formation of a modern system of professional development of teaching staff for all levels of education is also among the tasks outlined in the Decree of the President of Russia.

Russian Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov said that the network of educational centers for talented schoolchildren is expanding. In 2024, in addition to the “Red Carnation” in the Zaporozhye region, the children will be accepted by another branch of “Artek” — “Korsun” in Sevastopol. The center for educational technologies «Mayak» «Okeana» and the summer tent camp «Rubezh» «Smeny» will begin their work for the first time. Both camps have a military-patriotic orientation. The head of the Russian Ministry of Education recalled that work continues on the creation of the All-Russian Center “Pechora” in the Pskov region.

Every year we pay special attention to the summer health campaign. Taking into account unified educational programs, all children’s centers and camps organize interesting educational and sports events. We place special emphasis, first of all, on ensuring the safety of children. I would like to note that this year the total amount of funding for children’s recreation from the constituent entities of the Russian Federation has been increased. Compared to last year, it increased by 8 billion rubles. In total, more than 600 thousand people will be involved in organizing the summer campaign, of which 300 thousand are teaching staff, and 66 thousand are counselorssaid Sergei Kravtsov.

Realization of the potential of each person, development of his talents, education of a patriotic and socially responsible personality is one of the national goals outlined in the new Decree. Today, more than 29 thousand camps have their own educational program. This year, special attention will be paid to events dedicated to the Year of the Family, the anniversary of A.S. Pushkin, the liberation of Leningrad from fascist invaders. There will be thematic days of the Russian movement of children and youth “Movement of the First”, shifts for junior schoolchildren “Commonwealth of Eaglets of Russia”.

In addition, educational work will be carried out in children’s camps, including through a series of projects such as “All-Russian School Film Premieres”, “Film Lessons in Russian Schools”, which are dedicated to watching the best Russian films.

As part of the summer health campaign, special attention will be paid to the work of additional education organizations for children in their area of ​​residence, so that during the holidays as many children as possible will be involved in exciting and useful activities.
