In Russia it is planned to create a register of alimony defaulters

On May 7, 2024, the State Duma of the Russian Federation adopted in the second and third readings a bill providing for the creation of an open register of persistent alimony defaulters, reports the press service of the lower house of parliament.
At a plenary meeting, the State Duma adopted a law on the creation of an appropriate register. After a citizen is included in the register, information about him will be in the public domain until he fully repays the debtthe message says.
In accordance with the bill, it is planned to include in the register information about alimony debtors brought to administrative and criminal liability for failure to pay funds for the maintenance of minor children or incompetent children who have reached the age of majority, or disabled parents, as well as about those put on the wanted list by a bailiff.
The alimony debtor will be notified within 24 hours about the entry into the register of the alimony debtor. After a citizen is included in the register, information about him will be in the public domain until he fully repays the debt.
To obtain up-to-date information on the employment of debtors, the Federal Bailiff Service will interact through a unified electronic system with the Pension and Social Insurance Fund.
