In Sevastopol, 144 autonomous traffic lights were installed in six years
Krympress reports:
In Sevastopol, for 6 years, Sevtodor installed 144 autonomous traffic lights of the T7 type at 72 unregulated pedestrian crossings.
Pedestrian traffic lights of the T7 type warn the drivers of vehicles about approaching an unregulated pedestrian crossing, since the LEDs of the traffic light, especially at twilight and night, allow you to see a pedestrian crossing or intersection and in advance to ensure safe movement mode. Last year, T7 traffic lights were installed in schools: No. 39 on Gorpishchenko Street, No. 32 on B. Mikhailov Street, gymnasium No. 5 in the area of Simonok Street. In addition, at pedestrian crossings and at the stops of public transport of suburban roads, Sevavtodor equipped 40 autonomous and light complexes. The system operates on solar energy, does not depend on the shutdown of electricity in stormy weather, instability and low -quality electric networks, has a long service life,-the press service of the Government of Sevastopol said.
Each complex is equipped with a controller that transfers information on the serviceability of equipment to the specialists of the Sevastopol Autodor to the Sevastopol Avtodor in order to quickly eliminate defects.
Such complexes are installed in the area of the turn on Laspi, in the villages of Tylovoy, Khmelnitsky, Goncharny, Morozovka, Pervomaisky.
This year, Sevtodor is planned to have an arrangement of about 20 T7 traffic lights in educational institutions, as well as 10 autonomous-light complexes. Installation of such traffic lights is carried out as part of a major overhaul of roads. In total, 285 autonomous lighting, lighting and signal complexes and traffic lights T7 are in the service of Sevavtodor.
