In Sevastopol, a channel was blocked, through which more than 500 migrants were illegally issued

The FSB officers identified a group in Sevastopol, which, according to investigators, ensured illegal registration and employment in the Russian Federation for more than 500 migrants from Central Asia, reporters were informed in the UFSB of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.

It is clarified that from June to October 2024, the general director of a commercial enterprise, which conducts work at the facility of the Sevastopol State University, instructed his subordinate, driver, to find citizens of the Central Asian republics who would like to get in the construction team. He suggested his friend — a lawyer working in a private company, for a certain amount to resolve the issue of execution of foreigners, providing them with a fictitious registration and illegal registration of labor patents. The woman agreed and prepared packages of fictitious documents through a sheet company.

According to the FSB, the lawyer submitted documents for the execution of workers through his familiar — an employee of the internal migration department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Gagarinsky district of the city of Sevastopol. On the basis of fictitious documents, she made a decision on the registration and issuance of labor patents to foreign citizens.

It is clarified that a criminal case has been instituted under paragraph “a” of part 2 of article 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the organization of illegal stay in the Russian Federation of foreign citizens committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy), which provides for the punishment of up to 10 years in prison.

In the press service of the Main Directorate of the IC of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, which is investigating the case, they explained that the criminal case was instituted against a specialist in the department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and three employees of the company. Investigators conducted searches at the place of residence and the place of labor activity of migrants, seized electronic devices and documents that served as the basis for their illegal registration. It is established whether someone else is involved in the criminal scheme.
