In Sevastopol, a cultural complex is created on Cape Khrustalny. How the process goes

On July 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting on the progress of the creation of cultural, educational and museum complexes. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Marat Khusnullin, Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova, Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev, the head of the Primorsky Territory, the Kemerovo region — Kuzbass and the Kaliningrad region.

We create modern exhibition spaces, artistic and choreographic schools, concert and theater halls so that bright, rich cultural life, interesting creative events, lectures and master classes become more accessible to the citizens of our country, so that people, especially young people, youth could at home, in their region at the highest level to study creative professions,-quoted the press service of the Government of Sevastopol in his speech.

During the meeting, the Governor of Sevastopol Mikhail Podvozozhaev reported to the head of state about how work on Cape Khrustalny was going on. On behalf of Vladimir Putin, the Academy of Choreography was built here, the construction of the Russian Gallery of Arts and the Opera and Ballet Theater is underway.

The Academy of Choreography has been working in a new building for almost a year, 200 students have been engaged here, 10 performances have already been presented on the new stage, including the Nutcracker, the concert for the 80th anniversary of the Victory, literally the day before with the Krasnodar School, arranged an evening of Grigorovich’s memory, the head of the city said.

The Russian art gallery since 2021 works in a temporary exhibition space, but its employees held dozens of exhibitions during this time, brought Aivazovsky, Malevich. Now the team is already preparing to call in a new building on Cape Khrustalny. In Sevastopol, there will be not a branch of the museum, but a full -fledged new federal institution. For the first time in 100 years, a new national collection of art and fine art will be formed in Sevastopol. I thank the Ministry of Culture and personally Olga Borisovna for the fact that she personally is engaged in the formation of these future collections of our Russian art gallery. The Opera and Ballet Theater is already working, the artists performed at our famous Opera in Chersonesos festival, and recently successfully presented the thunderstorm ballet at the Bolshoi Theater. By the way, our pupils of the Choreography Academy of the Academy of Academy also participate in these productions. The construction of the theater continues. Let me remind you that the project was performed by Wolf D. Prix — the star of world architecture — and he continues the author’s control over the progress of work— said Mikhail Razvozhaev.

The governor noted: on behalf of the President, a park of 15 hectares will be created near the cultural complex, there will be a well-maintained space, a single pedestrian zone with a length of about 5 kilometers from Primorsky Boulevard through the territory of the cultural complex to the Museum-Supply complex “New Chersonesos”.

Mikhail Razvozhaev thanked the president for the grandiose project, for his attention to Sevastopol and constant support.
