In Sevastopol, a drunk passenger robbed a taxi driver

In Sevastopol, investigators detained a suspect in stealing money from a taxi driver.
At night, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Gagarinsky District received a message from a 43-year-old taxi service worker. The man said that after completing another order, a bag with personal belongings, in which almost 12 thousand rubles were stored, disappeared from his car.— told the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
The victim suggested that it could be his client, who at the time of the order was in a state of intoxication.
As a result of operational-search activities, the criminal investigation department of the Russian MIA Department for the Gagarinsky District identified the suspect and detained her. She was a 32-year-old local resident. The woman confessed to the crime and said that, taking advantage of the man’s inattention, she took his bag, which was lying on the back seat of the car when she got out of the taxithe police said.
The woman did not have time to dispose of the stolen money. A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”), she faces a sentence of imprisonment for up to 5 years.
