The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol completed the investigation of a criminal case against a resident of Sevastopol accused of a crime of a sexual nature committed against minors (clause “b”, part 5 of article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The investigative department for the Nakhimovsky district established that in the summer of this year, a 54-year-old man, in exchange for the opportunity to play video games, convinced 6 and 7-year-old pupils of one of the kindergartens in the district, where he worked as a security guard, to take intimate photos. Subsequently, one of the girls informed her mother about everything, who passed the information received to law enforcement agencies. Investigators, in collaboration with employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, identified two more girls who suffered from the actions of the attacker— reported the Investigative Committee.
The defendant was charged and, at the request of the investigator, the court chose a measure of interdiction in the form of detention, where he is being held to this day. A sufficient evidence base has been collected and the necessary forensic examinations have been carried out. Rehabilitation measures have been taken for all minors.
The criminal investigation has now been completed. The materials were sent to the prosecutor’s office for the purpose of studying, signing the indictment and sending the case to court.
