In Sevastopol, a group of “black realtors” listened to the verdict. How did the criminals “work”?

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Having agreed with the position of the state prosecutor of the prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol, the court issued a guilty verdict in a criminal case against six members of an organized group of “black realtors”.

Depending on the role and degree of participation in criminal activity, they were found guilty under paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Art. 179 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (coercion to enter into a transaction under the threat of destruction and damage to someone else’s property, in the absence of signs of extortion, committed by an organized group), Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale), part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal possession without the purpose of selling narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances on a large scale) and Part 1 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm).

It was established that the organizer of the group, being the director of a company engaged in real estate transactions, as well as the founder of a consumer credit cooperative, looked for apartments that were in common shared ownership of several persons, and bought out one of the shares. Subsequently, he moved accomplices into these apartments, who in various ways put pressure on the owners of residential premises, forcing them to sell their shares at a low price or on other terms favorable to the organizer of the group.

In total, from February 2018 to October 2022, the accomplices forced the owners of 11 apartments in Sevastopol to complete purchase and sale transactions. Three victims, unable to withstand the pressure exerted, sold their homes.

In addition, in August 2022, the organizer of the group promised to provide a loan to a friend secured by a plot of land, but in reality he sold the land and caused damage to the deceived victim in the amount of 1.5 million rubles. In December 2022, during a search in the defendant’s apartment, large quantities of drugs and psychotropic substances were discovered and seized.

Pthose who had suffered contacted the prosecutor of the city of Sevastopol. The issue of initiation and progress of the investigation of the criminal case was under his personal control. The investigation was carried out by the Investigation Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.

The defendants did not admit their guilt. However, based on the evidence collected by the investigation and presented by the state prosecutor, the Gagarinsky District Court of Sevastopol convicted them on all charges.

The organizer of the group was sentenced to 9 years of imprisonment in a general regime correctional colony. He is taken into custody in the courtroom.

One of his accomplices received a sentence of imprisonment for a term of 5 years and 9 months in a maximum security penal colony.

The remaining members of the group were sentenced to suspended sentences of 2.5 to 4 years.

In addition, the court satisfied the civil claims of the victims, supported by the state prosecutor, for the recovery of property damage and compensation for moral damage in the total amount of almost 500 thousand rubles.
