CrimeaPRESS reports:
Employees of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, while monitoring the virtual space, drew attention to the comments of one of the users on the Internet publication.
The commentator’s statements contained signs of humiliation of human dignity based on nationality and territory of residence. The texts were sent for research to the ECC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for a linguistic examination, which confirmed that the statements humiliate human dignity and incite hostile actions based on nationality,” explained the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
During operational search activities, police officers identified the author of the comments. He turned out to be a 21-year-old local resident. He confessed to the offense.
Based on the materials collected by the police against him, employees of the city prosecutor’s office compiled administrative material under Art. 20.3.1 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Inciting hatred or enmity, as well as humiliation of human dignity”). By a court decision, the offender was sentenced to an administrative fine in the amount of 10 thousand rubles.
