Early in the morning, the centralized surveillance console of the Department of Private Security of the Russian Guard in the city of Sevastopol received an “Alarm” signal from a store selling glasses located on Bolshaya Morskaya Street.

A detachment from the private security guard of the Russian Guard immediately arrived at the scene of the incident. Law enforcement officers interviewed one of the witnesses to the incident. The man said that he noticed an unknown person breaking down the front door to an optical store, after which he heard the sounds of breaking glass. The citizen also remembered which direction the attacker headed. Having called an investigative team to the scene of the incident, employees of the private security service of the Russian Guard began measures to establish the location and detention of the attacker. A few minutes later the suspect was detained. As it turned out, he was hiding in one of the nearby courtyards. The attacker turned out to be a 44-year-old resident of the hero city, — reported the press service of the Main Directorate of the Russian Guard for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol (Sevastopol).

Later it was established that that morning, while intoxicated, he damaged the door of the Optika salon and entered the premises. There, from a display stand where premium goods were located, the man took about 10 glasses and took them out of the store. Then he threw the stolen goods onto the sidewalk and disappeared. As law enforcement officers found out, a few minutes before entering the guarded salon, the attacker damaged another glass entrance door of a grocery store located a few tens of meters away on the same street.

The offender was unable to explain the reasons for his violent behavior and was confused in his testimony. The man said that in the evening he had a quarrel with his wife, for this reason he drank alcohol. Afterwards, while walking along the streets of the city at night, I decided to sneak into the Optics salon and take out several pairs of glasses in order to share them with passers-by who could not afford such expensive products.

The detainee was handed over to the police for further investigation. An inspection is underway.
