For several months, a man deliberately fed animals to gain their trust.
The 46-year-old mistress of the pigs turned to the police after two individuals did not return from the usual self-ridicule for feeding. During the search, the woman and her daughter heard a distinct pig’s screech coming from the neighboring site. However, the owner of the territory categorically denied the presence of animals on his land and demanded that women leave his possessions.
Not satisfied with such an answer, the woman returned to the site with her parents. During a second examination, they found a shocking picture: one pig was already clogged, and the second ran out of the barn in severe fright. The owners managed to save the remaining animal and take the carcass of the dead pig. The amount of damage caused exceeded 40,000 rubles,-voiced the details of the case in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol.
As investigators established, the suspect in June regularly fed pigs so that they were used to him. When animals began to fearlessly approach a man, he carried out his criminal plan, leading two to his shed.
Criminal investigation officers of OP No. 1 Severny detained a 58-year-old local resident. On this fact, the investigative department opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under paragraph “c” of part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code «Theft». The sanction of this article provides for a punishment of imprisonment for up to five years.
