In Sevastopol, a man robbed a friend. The “Safe City” hardware complex helped in the arrest

Police established that the 52-year-old victim met an unknown man late at night on Zakharov Square and drank alcohol with him near a public transport stop. Having made sure that the new friend was in a state of severe intoxication and would not be able to resist, the drinking companion demanded to lend him money. Having received a categorical refusal, he beat him, forcibly took away his smartphone and nine thousand rubles, and then disappeared. The total amount of material damage amounted to 18 thousand rubles.

With the help of the Safe City agro-industrial complex, officers of the patrol service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Nakhimovsky district established the location of the suspect, detained him and seized the stolen mobile phone. The 40-year-old attacker admitted to the crime, but denied the theft of funds, — reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.

A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under paragraph “g.” Part 2 Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Robbery”. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to seven years. The defendant was chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention.
