In Sevastopol, a man robbed an MFI office, threatening an employee with … scissors. What did you buy with the stolen money?

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Sevastopol, officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Leninsky District, as a result of operational search activities, identified a suspect in a robbery attack on a microfinance organization and, with the forceful support of police special forces, detained him on the street in one of the courtyards of the city. It turned out to be a 30-year-old local resident.

According to the police, a few days ago, in the evening, the suspect, hiding his face with a medical mask and cap, entered the office of a credit institution and, threatening a sharp object resembling scissors, demanded that the employee hand over the proceeds from the cash register to him. Frightened for her life, the girl gave the raider two envelopes with money in the total amount of 10 thousand rubles. Having secured the cash, the attacker fled the scene. The detained man at first denied his involvement in the crime, but soon confessed and explained that after the incident he threw away his headdress and mask, as well as the weapon of crime — scissors. Bought groceries with stolen money— reported the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Sevastopol.

Investigators initiated a criminal case against the suspect on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The defendant was detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation. The issue of choosing a measure of restraint for him is being decided.
