In Sevastopol, a man who attacked an elderly woman in her own house will go on trial

The prosecutor’s office of the Nakhimovsky district of the city of Sevastopol approved the indictment in a criminal case against a 65-year-old man without a fixed place of residence. He is accused of committing a crime under paragraph “c” of Part 4 of Art. of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (robbery committed with the use of an object used as a weapon, with illegal entry into a dwelling, with causing grievous bodily harm to the victim).
According to investigators, on November 6 2022 at night, a man in a state of intoxication broke into the house on the street. Dachnoy in the village Verkhnesadovoye against the will of an elderly woman 1948 of the year of birth living in it. There, he demanded money from the pensioner, and when he was refused, he hit her on the head with an ax, took the money from her bag and fled the scene of the crime. By his actions, the attacker caused serious bodily harm to the woman. Law enforcement officers quickly located the attacker and detained him. At the request of the prosecutor, supported by the prosecutor’s office, the defendant was chosen by the court as a measure of restraint in the form of detention , the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office said.
A criminal case with an indictment approved by the prosecutor’s office is under consideration by the Nakhimovsky District Court of the city of Sevastopol.
