In Sevastopol, a new procedure for providing state social assistance
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Since the beginning of 2024, the approach to defining a low-income family and calculating family income has changed in Sevastopol, and it has also become possible to submit an application through State Services.
For the purpose of calculating the average per capita family income, the family composition includes the applicant, spouse, minors and children under his guardianship (trusteeship), children under the age of 23 years studying in a general education, professional organization or higher education organization in full-time education– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the deputy head of the social security department of the department of labor and social protection, Evgenia Pytko.
The calculation period for calculating the average per capita family income is shifted by one month before the month of filing the application (income for three months preceding one month before the month of filing the application is taken into account). This means that specialists will be able to obtain data on the income of the applicant and his family without the need to provide paper documents, which will simplify the procedure for receiving assistance. Almost all the necessary information will be requested by specialists automatically.
In addition, when determining the right to benefits, the property criterion in terms of housing area standards has been clarified — from 18 square meters. m increases to 24 sq. m, as well as the area of the land plot — from 0.6 hectares to 1 hectares in the rural area.
Thanks to the changes, it became possible to recalculate the additional payment for each minor child in low-income large families, as well as to submit an application in advance.
Let us remind you that within the framework of the regional project “Financial support for families at the birth of children” of the national project “Demography”, regional maternity capital is provided in Sevastopol. The payment amount is indexed annually. In 2023 it amounted to 128,066 rubles, from February 1, 2024 it will amount to 134,726 rubles.
