In Sevastopol, a “particularly principled waiter” will not get away with a fine
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, police opened a criminal case of vandalism against a 21-year-old local resident who deliberately damaged infrastructure facilities.
In August of this year, a young man was detained by police officers on suspicion of committing a crime under Article 329 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Desecration of the State Flag of the Russian Federation.”
As previously reported, operatives of the Center for Countering Extremism of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, together with colleagues from the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, detained a 21-year-old local resident who violated the State Flag of the Russian Federation near the monument to F. Klokachev in Artillery Bay cities.
Also, for public statements aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the police drew up a report of an administrative offense against the offender, provided for in Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. Having examined the materials collected by the police, the court found him guilty and sentenced him to a fine of 40 thousand rubles.
However, the “waiter” turned out to be both “principled” and “active.”
As a result of the operational search activities carried out by employees of the Center for Special Investigations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the involvement of the detainee in another fact of illegal activity was established. The police found out that in order to publicly demonstrate disrespect for society, the state and the bodies exercising state power in the Russian Federation, the suspect secretly applied the symbols of Ukrainian nationalists to various infrastructure facilities located in the village of Kacha using an aerosol can. The offender photographed the drawings on a smartphone for further distribution on social networks and instant messengers.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
Currently, the investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Nakhimovsky district has opened a criminal case against the suspect under Part 2 of Art. 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Vandalism”). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 3 years.
