In Sevastopol, a patrol boat will be named after the deputy commander of the Black Sea Fleet who died in Ukraine

The honorary title «Captain 1st Rank Andrei Paly» will be given to the patrol boat of the Crimean Naval Base. It is reported that the solemn ceremony will be held on the Day of the Navy, in Sevastopol.

The patrol boat of the Black Sea Fleet will be named after Andrey Paliy , who died during a special military operation in Ukraine, the press service of the Black Sea Fleet confirmed.

At the place of death of the hero in Mariupol a memorial plaque was erected. Also, earlier it was reported that Sevastopol public activists turned to the President of the Russian Federation with a proposal to support the initiative to perpetuate the memory of Andrei Nikolaevich Paliy. It is proposed to assign the officer the rank of «rear admiral» posthumously, and his name to a warship.

Now the new patrol boat is on display at the quay wall of the Grafskaya pier.
