In Sevastopol, a pedophile was sentenced — he “acted” under the guise of a doctor. “Gone” to life imprisonment
Having agreed with the position of the state prosecutor of the prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol, the court issued a guilty verdict in a criminal case against a previously convicted 52-year-old man. He was found guilty under paragraph “a” of Part 5 of Art. 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (other actions of a sexual nature using the helpless state of the victim, committed against a minor by a person with a criminal record for a previously committed crime against the sexual integrity of a minor) and under Part 1 of Art. 314.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (evasion of administrative supervision).
It was established that a man, previously convicted of sexual offenses, including against children, committed sexual assault against his friend’s 15-year-old daughter in July 2022. To do this, posing as a doctor, the attacker invited the girl to his home under the pretext of giving her a wellness massage. The victim told her mother about the incident, who contacted law enforcement. Due to the presence of convictions for previously committed crimes, the man was under the administrative supervision of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Gagarinsky district of Sevastopol. After the incident, in violation of the restrictions imposed on him, the attacker fled from his place of residence and was put on the wanted list. In December 2022, police officers established his location in the Krasnodar region. The investigation into the criminal case was carried out by the investigative department for the Gagarinsky district of Sevastopol of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. The Sevastopol City Court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the perpetrator to life imprisonment in a special regime correctional colony. Also, by a court verdict, he is obliged to undergo compulsory treatment from a psychiatrist at the place where he is serving his sentence.,” reported the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
In addition, the court satisfied the civil claim of the prosecutor’s office to recover from the convicted person in favor of the victim compensation for moral damage in the amount of 500 thousand rubles.
