In Sevastopol, a previously convicted man was detained by the traffic police for car theft

In Sevastopol, the duty department of the State traffic inspectorate received a message from a citizen who reported the theft of a personal Toyota car. On the same evening (Wednesday, 21 December), at 19: 45 at 5 km of the Sevastopol-Inkerman highway, the traffic police detained this car. It was driven by a 24-year-old young man who showed signs of intoxication. It turned out that the man already had a criminal record under various articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The detainee did not have the right to drive vehicles and refused to undergo an examination for intoxication. In this regard, the traffic police officers drew up administrative material in relation to the violator under part 2 of article 12.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. By a court decision, a man for this offense received a punishment in the form of administrative arrest for a period of days , — reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
Also, for illegal possession of a vehicle by the department of inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nakhimovsky District, a criminal case was initiated against the detainee under part 1 of article 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Unlawful possession of a car or other vehicle without the purpose of theft”, he faces up to five years’ imprisonment.
