The forum was organized by the regional resource center of the city’s Department of Education and Science “Palace of Children’s and Youth Creativity” with the assistance of the All-Russian project “Navigators of Childhood”.

Today there are student councils in every school, gymnasium and professional educational organization in Sevastopol. It is important that the children take an active part in the life of their organization, propose and implement socially significant projects with the support of the administration, teachers and parents. As part of the All-Russian program “Student Self-Government”, children have the opportunity to present the experience of their institution at the All-Russian Forum of Presidents of Educational Institutions in March 2024 in Moscow, – the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the regional coordinator of the All-Russian project “Navigators of Childhood” in Sevastopol, Natalya Zagorodnaya.

A special feature of this year’s forum were interactive platforms on student self-government and the values of student councils, as well as educational and motivational blocks for the implementation of student initiatives.

In Sevastopol, student self-government is already reaching a new level. School presidents have a good conceptual base, understand the functions and share their experience. Today, the participants themselves spoke about their characteristics, traditions and victories in the field of student self-government. This is a small victory, which is achieved thanks to the support of teachers, educational advisers to directors and the zeal of the students themselves. I believe that things will only get better and better in the future, and together we will develop self-government in the region– notes the regional coordinator of the All-Russian program “Student Self-Government” Marina Tsvetinskaya.

I heard a lot of useful information today. We worked in a team with student government colleagues from other schools. Such collective work helped the participants exchange experience in developing self-government in their educational organizations and share interesting formats of events. I believe that student self-government is an important part of our joint work with the school administration. Getting into self-government is a great responsibility and honorsays forum participant, student of school No. 6 Ivan Chugunov.

I would like to express my gratitude to the organizers, because activists are given a unique opportunity to discuss important issues, develop new ideas and make decisions that affect their own school environment. Participation in such forums helps develop leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. Today, students were able to express their opinions, offer their ideas and contribute to improving the school experience for themselves and their activists from the Center for Children’s Initiatives,” emphasizes Diana Karnaukh, advisor to the director of education at the Cossack Bay educational center.

The forum is held annually and is aimed at developing student self-government bodies of educational organizations as an educational environment for students, enhancing the activities of children’s and youth public associations, and developing the volunteer movement among students.
