In Sevastopol, a criminal investigation has been completed on charges of a 25-year-old driver of violating traffic rules, which negligently caused the death of a person.

As reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, a tragic accident occurred on the afternoon of July 25, 2021 on the roadway of the street. The attacker was charged under paragraph «a» part 4 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation by a person driving a car of the rules of the road, which negligently caused the death of a person, if it was committed by a person in a state of intoxication”). The sanction of the incriminated article provides for an uncontested punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to twelve years.— noted in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.

Currently, the preliminary investigation has been completed, the materials of the criminal case have been sent to the prosecutor’s office for the purpose of studying, approving the indictment and sending the case to court.
