In Sevastopol, a rowdy raised his hand against a police officer

In Sevastopol, by court verdict, a man was fined for causing bodily harm to a police officer. The 32-year-old citizen was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (use of violence against a government official in connection with the exercise of his official powers).
It was established that in June 2023, at night on Shcherbak Street, police officers found a man sleeping on the sidewalk. Law enforcement officers woke him up to establish his identity and determine his state of health, but the man was dissatisfied with their legal actions and, while intoxicated, caused bodily harm to one of the officersreports the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
In court, the rowdy admitted his guilt in full and repented. By the verdict of the Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol, the perpetrator was fined 40 thousand rubles.
