Sevastopol City Court sentenced the criminal case against the 37-year-old local resident Vadim Sorokoletov. He is found guilty under Art. 275 of the Criminal Code (state treason).
The court established that the forties in September 2023 joined the Chat Kontakt of the Internet mixer coordinated by the GUR MOU, for the implementation of intelligence and sabotage and terrorist activities in Russia. On the same day, he photographed and collected information about the location of the facility of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, and then published these data in Chat Kontakte in order to provide assistance to foreign special services in activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation.
The criminal activity of a man was suppressed by employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
The court sentenced Sorokoletov to 17 years in prison with a maximum security penal colony serving in a correctional colony with a limitation of freedom for a period of 1 year and a fine of 200 thousand rubles.
