In Sevastopol, criminal investigation officers detained a suspect in two thefts from a thrift store. The theft of goods by the attacker was recorded by CCTV cameras located in the retail premises.

Police established that a 31-year-old man, previously convicted of possession of prohibited substances, visited a thrift store with the intention of committing theft. Choosing a moment when the seller was distracted, he secretly stole a grinding machine worth 3 thousand rubles from the display window and disappeared. Having discovered the missing goods, the store administration contacted the police. As a result of operational search activities, criminal investigation officers of the Russian Department of Internal Affairs for the Leninsky District identified the suspect and detained him. The involvement of the detainee in the thefts committed is confirmed by his confession and seized material evidence, the location of the stolen property is established— they told the details (and showed the video) at the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
