In Sevastopol, a thief stole a woman's clutch and was very surprised when he examined the loot

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Sevastopol operatives detained a Crimean citizen who stole a professional instrument from a beauty salon. The attacker stole a woman’s clutch, but instead of the expected cash inside, he found two pairs of scissors.

As the police established, a 33-year-old resident of Simferopol, while intoxicated, was walking around the hero city in search of rented housing. On one of the houses he saw an advertisement for residential premises for rent and, while looking for the entrance, he discovered the unlocked door of a hairdresser. Taking advantage of the fact that there was no one in the beauty salon, the man went inside, grabbed a woman’s handbag from the table and disappeared. Having moved not far from the crime scene, the attacker encountered the parents of the owner of the hairdresser and, in order not to arouse suspicion, asked the couple about renting housing, after which he left in an unknown direction.

After some time, the owner of the salon arrived at work, discovered the missing tool and contacted the police. The amount of material damage amounted to 14 thousand rubles.

As a result of operational-search activities, employees of the criminal investigation department No. 1 «Northern» of the Russian Department of Internal Affairs for the Nakhimovsky district identified the suspect and detained him. The police seized the stolen property and returned it to the owner. A criminal case has been initiated against the detainee under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to five years.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
