In Sevastopol, a woman’s car was confiscated by a court verdict. What did the car lady do?
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Sevastopol, a court issued a guilty verdict in a criminal case against a 44-year-old local resident. She was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a car by a person in a state of intoxication subject to administrative punishment for driving a vehicle while intoxicated).
It was established that the woman, by court decision, had already been deprived of her driver’s license for driving while intoxicated, but she did not draw the necessary conclusions for herself and in September 2023, at about 5 a.m., she got behind the wheel of a vehicle again after drinking alcoholic beverages. On the street Khrustaleva in Sevastopol, she was stopped by traffic police officers, who established the fact of intoxication and removed her from driving,” reported the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.
The Leninsky District Court of Sevastopol sentenced the perpetrator to 160 hours of compulsory labor and deprived her of the right to engage in activities related to driving vehicles for two years.
In addition, the court confiscated to the state the Peugeot 206 car belonging to the convict, driving which she was stopped while drunk.
