The malefactor stole money from the client of an ATM because of a carelessness of the victim.
It was established that, while in one of the city’s shopping centers, a 24-year-old local resident used an ATM to replenish the card, but was not convinced of the successful completion of the transaction and left. The following client took advantage of his inattention: the man took out the left banknotes from the bill acceptor and disappeared. He spent 20 thousand rubles proceeds from crime on various purchases. The victim, having learned that his money was stolen, contacted the police. As a result of operational-search measures, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Gagarinsky district detained a suspect— the details were announced in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
A criminal case was initiated against the defendant under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation «Theft», he faces up to five years in prison.
