In Sevastopol, a young lady reported rape. It turned out that she lied to hide her betrayal

The prosecutor’s office of the Gagarinsky district of Sevastopol sent a criminal case to court against a 27-year-old resident of Sevastopol. She is charged under Part 2 of Art. 306 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (knowingly false denunciation of the commission of a serious crime).

According to investigators, in December 2023, the accused reported to law enforcement authorities that rape had been committed against her. During an investigation into her application, investigators from the Investigative Committee determined that the girl had provided false information. A criminal case has been initiated on this fact. The accused admitted to making a false denunciation, explaining her actions with a desire to hide the betrayal from her partner,” reported the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.

Currently, the district prosecutor’s office has sent the criminal case with an approved indictment to the Gagarinsky District Court of Sevastopol for consideration on the merits.
