In Sevastopol, a young lady robbed a man who gave her a smartphone for an urgent call
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A 30-year-old local resident contacted the OMVD of Russia for the Leninsky District of Sevastopol and reported that his smartphone worth 10 thousand rubles had been fraudulently stolen from him.
The police established that at night in a 24-hour store a stranger approached a man asking for a mobile phone to make an urgent call. When the smartphone ended up in her hands and the owner was distracted by shopping, the girl quickly left the store and disappeared in an unknown direction. The criminal sold the phone she had stolen by deception to a random passerby for three thousand rubles, and spent the money she had received by criminal means on her own needs.— the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol noted.
As a result of operational and investigative activities, criminal investigation officers established the identity of the suspect and detained the 25-year-old suspect.
A criminal case has been opened against the detainee under Part 1 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, “Fraud,” and she faces up to two years in prison.
